EyeCare America provides eye care to US citizens and legal residents through volunteer ophthalmologists (Eye M.D.s) at no cost to those who qualify.

The Seniors program connects eligible seniors 65 and older with local volunteer ophthalmologists who provide a medical eye exam at no out-of-pocket cost, and up to one year of follow-up care for any condition diagnosed during the initial exam, for the physician services.

The Glaucoma Program provides a glaucoma eye exam at no cost to those who are eligible and uninsured. Those who are eligible and insured are billed normal office procedure, and responsible for any co-payments. (This is an awareness program to provide a baseline glaucoma eye exam to those who may not be aware they are at increased risk).

Free basic glasses for indigent clients using a voucher system through service agencies, such as Success Reentry. A New Eyes voucher provides a basic pair of single or lined bifocal eyeglasses.

New Eyes provides a basic pair of single or lined bifocal lenses.  A New Eyes voucher is for individuals who have no other resources with which to obtain a basic pair eyeglasses. Applicants must have an eye exam including their pupillary distance (PD) measurement before applying.

Offers a variety of treatment options that accommodate all levels of need and a full continuum of care. California Children's Services

CCS provides diagnostic and treatment services, medical case management, and physical and occupational therapy services to children and young adults under age 21 with CCS-eligible medical conditions.

Your child may qualify if he/she meets ALL FOUR eligibility criteria: 1) Age eligible: your child is under 21 years old; 2) Medically eligible: your child has a physical disability or medical condition that is covered by CCS; 3) Residentially eligible: your child lives with a parent or guardian who lives in Sacramento County; 4) Financially eligible: your child has Medi-Cal or Healthy Families or the family’s adjusted gross income is less than $40,000 or out-of-pocket medical expenses are expected to be more than 20 percent of the family’s adjusted gross income.
