Founded in 1978, Paratransit, Inc. is a local public agency organized as a nonprofit dedicated to providing transportation services to individuals with disabilities, the elderly, and related agencies.

Reservation lines are open to take ride requests 365 days a year. Requests are taken from 8:00 a.m. through 5:00 p.m. Please be sure to have all necessary information ready when you place your call. Remember that you will share rides with others, so we may need to negotiate your pick-up time.

SeniorLink is a prevention and early intervention program designed to provide support services to older adults (age 55+) experiencing isolation and/or early signs of depression or anxiety. Our culturally diverse staff reach out to program participants in their homes or community settings and assist with improving their health and wellness, collaborating with health care providers, increasing opportunities for socialization, and providing transportation services as needed.

Services Provided: Activities and Outings, Collaboration with Health Care Providers, Transportation and Referral Services, Cultural Groups, Volunteer Activities, Advocacy, Skill Development.

We offer four agency programs, which include Transitional Housing, Outreach, Child Development, and Transportation. Within these programs we have subprograms, which help to provide a deeper focus in the areas that need it most. These include Slavic Women’s Health Outreach, Kids Club, Rapid Rehousing, Collaboration with Partner Agencies, and Assistance to Families in Motels. We also maintain a Food Closet and even a Pet Food Closet, as well as a Clothing and Furniture Closet. All of these help to strengthen each person’s life skills, and receive the care and nourishment they need during the time it takes for them to reestablish and implement a healthy, productive lifestyle.
