Offers a variety of treatment options that accommodate all levels of need and a full continuum of care. Specialized programs include short and long-term residential treatment, outpatient treatment options, transitional living and case management services with knowledgeable and caring staff who understand the complexities of addiction.

Programs: Promise House (Women’s residential program), Men’s Residential (28-bed residential alcohol and drug treatment facility), Outpatient Program, Sober Living (916-706-2007), Bridges Women and Children (transitional living program exclusively for mothers receiving benefits from CalWorks; 916-410-6112), Specialized Treatment Recovery Services (STARS) (assistance to parents involved w/CPS and Sacramento County Dependency Courts getting assistance meeting mandates given to them regarding drug and alcohol treatment, testing and support).

CDSS
A cash aid program for low-income families to meet their basic needs.

California Work Opportunity and Responsibility to Kids (CalWORKs) is a cash aid program for low-income families to meet their basic needs. It also provides education, employment, and training programs to help families get jobs and move towards self-sufficiency.

There is a 48-month time limit for adults but the children can remain on aid if otherwise eligible under the Safety Net program. There are special services for pregnant and parenting teens through the CalLearn program.

Maryhouse is a daytime hospitality shelter for homeless women and children. We provide personal attention to each woman to help her identify and take the next step. Women come to us in crisis; some receive short-term help while others might require help for a longer period of time.

Moving homeless families and individuals to high levels of self-reliance.

Next Move has a variety of programs to help get families and individuals off the street and into a home of their own. Our programs include a temporary shelter with motel vouchers for families with children experiencing homelessness through our Francis House Center program.

* Emergency Family Shelter: An 85-bed Family Shelter Campus provides an emergency shelter stay with intensive supportive services to homeless families with dependent children, including single fathers and males over the age of 14. To see if you qualify, call (916) 455-2160.

* Permanent Supportive & Rapid Re-Housing Programs: For seniors and individuals living with disabilities.

. . . Casa de Esperanza: Serves disabled chronically homeless men and women.

. . . Home at Last: Serves chronically homeless seniors, with 22 units of permanent supportive housing serving homeless men and women.

. . . Omega Project: Permanent housing and continued supportive services to 15 singles and 22 families who have multiple and severe disabilities.

. . . Step Up Sacramento: Provide 122 units of permanent supportive housing to individuals and families including veterans, transitional age foster youth and seniors 55 and older.

. . . Stepping Stones: This new rapid re-housing program serves 14 homeless families to be re-housed and stabilized.
